Hello! This was the first time our organization has ever used CharityMania and it has by far been the best fundraiser I have been involved in. While the fundraiser was not as successful as we had hoped it would be we do look forward to using it again in the future. Educating ourselves and our students was probably our biggest disadvantage but we were in a time constraint as well. Being the Co-President of our organization I found many advantages to CharityMania. I found it very easy to inventory and distribute to the students. I found it easy to activate and log when tickets/ticket stubs were returned. The customer service was incredible (loved Dr. Neil Quinn Jr.), any question I had was answered right away so I was not left guessing or providing incorrect information to our students and their parents. The organization of the fundraiser on line was very simple and I especially liked that when it was time for the winners of the tickets that were sold/activated and un-activated came to me via email that I could display and was EASY on the EYES. It was great to see so many winners out of our group (sold/unsold). While explaining to our group we were able to show them that not just one person is a winner, many are winners so you should try to sell as many as you can. It was an eye opener to our group that we had a $1000 winning ticket that was NOT sold which got everyone excited to do it again in hopes we have another high winner. The payout was fantastic, we did not have to wait or worry when the money would be available to provide to our winners. The best part for our group is the 70% that we were able to keep in our organization since we are very small. This was new to our community so everyone was interested to see what it had to offer. I found that people were relieved that they did not have to choose teams or pick winners, it was random. They liked the idea of tracking their progress on line as well. We would like to see it be a bigger part of what we do and we currently are looking more closely at the on-line option to sell tickets which we have not had the best of luck. While paper tickets sell well, gathering the sold tickets and activating them is a huge task if you have 100 people selling which is why we limit it to the Board at this time. We like it. We know the purpose of it: Sell the music but emphasize the sweepstakes! I think maybe someone from the organization should come and speak to the parents and players about the fundraiser and hype them up for a big sale. This is our second time using Charitymania. First time we did the Super Bowl one and then the 10 week NFL fundraiser. Charitymania works great because with the rush of fantasy sports, and type of “gambling” that’s actually a fundraiser just works great. I think the excel spreadsheet you added to input the names of who donated was a good idea, but I don’t think it was set 100% to work in the ways that the organizations needed. I still had to create my own spreadsheet to keep track of everything.

Happy to reply to your questions regarding our FootballMania fund raising. When we first heard about CharityMania we were looking for a fundraiser that would give us a good return for our efforts and FootballMania has done that. We have another fundraiser that we run during our bowling season and between the two fundraisers we are please with the results. As you know there is stiff competition for people’s discretionary dollars and as an organization we are always looking for a fundraiser that is a good investment for both us and our buyers. We have ten board members who are the primary sellers of the 10 week $20.00 FootballMania tickets and the most frequent complaint is that the tickets are $20.00 and the majority of our winners are only $25.00. So some of our members feel that the dollar amount is not a very good return for the investment. Twenty dollars to win twenty-five dollars. And of course there are weeks we only have one winner at that amount. We sell 200 tickets so we are in the guaranteed winner class but again that is usually a $25.00 winner. We are going to continue selling the tickets for this upcoming football season but are really hoping to see a better return for our buyers. I would like to add that your customer service is very good. From the first tickets we decided to sell until recently I have been very pleased with the help I receive when I call your 1-800 number.
